Australian Camp Trek is one the famous and an easy trek in the beautiful foothills of the Annapurna. This trek offers beautiful views over the valleys and stunning views of the Annapurna Mountain range. Our trek starts from Dhampus. The trail to Australian Camp trek is very much used by local people and dealers. We can see small teashops dotted all along the trail which make the walk interesting. Also, the famous Machhapuchare peak can always be seen from any point on this trek. We will also have an opportunity for a close look at the daily lives of the villagers of the ethnic Gurung people.

Australian Camp Trek also call Annapurna camp trek gives you a great impression of the Himalayas. From sunrise to sunset the colours will keep on changing offering the most incredible views. During the trek, we will hike through dense forests, along with the hillsides and through mountain villages where we will stop for rest, drinks and lunch. The journey to Dhampus village is one of the paradises of Nepal that begins from Phedi village, nearly a 30 minutes’ drive from the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara. The advantage of Australian Camp trek is that we have the majestic Himalayas nearly all around. We will gently climb up through the rhododendron and oak forests until we reach Pothana which takes about 1 and half hour. Then we make a short rest and keep climbing up the stone staircases until reaching Australian Camp that takes about an hour. We will enjoy with Sunset view over the Himalayas in the evening. From Australian Camp we continue to Dhampus, an attractive village, the most photographed in the Pokhara valley. Leaving Dhampus we descend to Phedi where a car or bus will take us back to Pokhara.

This trek comprises of the enormous beauty of mountains, friendly Gurung people and their warm hospitality, fishtail, temples, flowers, mustard fields, birds, and much more. 

 

Australian Camp Trek Itinerary outline: 

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing tour
Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara.
Day 4: Pokhara to Australian Camp (2060m)
Day 5: Australian camp to Sarankot.
Day 6: Sarankot to Pokhara.
Day 7: Kathmandu to Pokhara.
Day 8: Farewell 

Itinerary Detail

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal.
On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be received by ‘Keen Adventures Treks’ and will escort you to the Hotel, our guide will give you a brief orientation of the Hotel, Kathmandu, Trekking, do’s and don’t and other related information that you might require while in Nepal.  

Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing tour
After your first night in Kathmandu, you will be well informed on arrival about the time for your guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu at places of interest like Monkey temple, Pashupati Nath temple, Pasquarerbar squire, Bhaktapur and Kathmandu Darbar squire after finished tour in Kathmandu transfer back to hotel get trekking prepared.  

Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara.
Drive or fly to Pokhara (820m). Both are the great option, by a drive, it takes 6 hours and by flight, it is a 30-minute flight. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 4: Pokhara to Australian Camp (2060m)
Drive to Kande (1770m) for an hour. Trek to Australian Camp (2060m) for 2 hours.  This is a very good place from there we could see long panoramic Himalaya view with sunset and the sunrise view. Overnight stay in Teahouse.

Day 5: Australian camp to Sarankot.
Trek to Sarankot (1930m) for 6 hours on scenic village trail. Sarankot is a best spot nearby Pokhara from there we could see the awesome view of sunrise and Himalaya. It overlooks fantastic lighting city of Pokhara and Phewa Lake. Overnight stay in Sarankot.

Day 6: Sarankot to Pokhara.
Trek down to Pokhara or paragliding down or zip line to Pokhara after the morning sunrise view and panoramic Himalayan ranges.

Day 7: Kathmandu to Pokhara.
by air, we have an option for your journey to Kathmandu you easily choice by skyline or by overland if you come by overland it takes you 7 hrs. Journey or if you take air transport it takes you 35min so it is your choice how to come to Kathmandu arrive in Kathmandu and stay  overnight.

Day 8: Departure from Kathmandu, “Farewell!”  On the 9th day of the trip and after almost two weeks of a continuous trek to the Everest Base Camp region, you will head back to your country with some great memories of the Khumbu Region on your mind. Board a flight back to your country from TIA, Kathmandu. 

Include/Exclude
  • Airport receives and departure transfer by private vehicle – airport/hotel/airport.
  • Good hotel accommodation with breakfast in Kathmandu and Pokhara as per the clients demands.
  • Kathmandu tour with a tour guide on private coach could be a car, van or bus.
  • All ground transportation by private vehicle or flight as per the client’s request.
  • All the necessary trekking permits – TIMS Card and ACAP trekking permit.
  • Simple – neat and clean best available mountain guest house accommodation on twin bedroom with hot shower at the end of a trekking day.
  • All three times meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner with 3 cups of tea daily during trekking.
  • English speaking trekking guide during trekking and 1 porter between every 2 clients who carry 25 kg luggage, their insurance, meals, salary, accommodation and transportation cost.
  • Farewell dinner in Kathmandu on last evening of trekking tour.
  • All government tax and services charge
