Annapurna Circuit With Nar Phu Valley Trek is one the fascinating trekking locations in the northern part of the Annapurna region in mid-western Nepal. It is a trek that combines the villages of Nar and Phu with lovely forests, narrow valleys, amazing rock formations, monasteries, and unique Himalayan cultures.

This Nar Phu Valley trek will begin from Jagat following the popular trekking paths of Annapurna Circuit trail and then leave from Koto to follow the beaten trek to Nar Phu Valley in the north of Manang and pass the Kang La pass with the magnificent panorama of Annapurna heights.

Nar Phu Valley is also known as ‘’the Lost Valley’’ or ‘’the Hidden Valley’’, which is fully a tea house-supported trek. Nar Phu valley is mostly inhabited by Lama, which means monks and also see various ethnicities such as Gurung, Magar, Thakali and some mixed people but mostly you will see Lama or Bhote. Here you can see large farms of potatoes, barley, buckwheat and many vegetables. Also, you will see lots of yaks and ships.

Nar Phu Valley Trek is considered one of the naturally beautiful villages that are tourist spot because it is a hidden village and the culture here are adequately typical well as natural also various things to see as many kinds of wild and domestic animals, beautiful white mountains, river, lakes, deer, mountain goats etc. You would also be able to see outstanding mountain views such as the Annapurna Himalayan ranges, Tilicho, Manaslu range and Pisang Peak. Itinerary Detail

Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu

As soon as you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel by our representatives. You will then be briefed about the travel itinerary at the hotel. The rest of the night you will stay at the hotel and prepare for the trek that unfolds in the days to come.

 

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu  

On the second day, you will be sightseeing around the Kathmandu valley studded with several UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Some of the attractions include the Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Patan. Likewise, the Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath Stupa and one of the oldest Stupas that of Swyambhunath, built some 2000 years ago, are the other places to visit. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 03: Drive to Khudi (800m)

On the third day, you will drive from Kathmandu to Khudi (800m) and begin the trek taking the breakfast. The drive will be interesting as you will get some time to view flora and fauna along the way. In between the drive, you will stop at a place to take your lunch. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 04: Trek to Bahundana (1310m)

The next day, you will be walking for around 5 hours and formally start the trek from Khudi. You will enjoy the mild trek as you come across local settlement areas and also the mountains along the way. Bahundanda will be the destination for the fourth day. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.

 

Day 05: Trek to Chamje (1430m) 

On the 5th day of the trek, you will move to Chamje. In Chamje, basically, you will see higher Oak and maple tree along with the major Himalayas. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

 

Day 06: Trek to Dharapani (1920m)

After breakfast on the sixth day, you will start walking through jungle leaving Chamje. From Chamje, the trail goes along the bank of Marshyangdi River typically climbing before reach your destination next destination which is Tal. From here, we go into Manang district following the trail all the way through rice, barley and potato fields and pine forests past the village of Kodo taking us to Dharapani, it is one of the villages in the Manang valley. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

 

Day 07: Trek to Koto (2600m)

Walk through the village and jungle, after you walk few hours you will arrive in hill and viewpoint from where you can see the several mountains like Lamjung Himal(6983m/22909ft) Annapurna II (7937m./26040ft).Then you will reach Koto. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

 

Day 08: Trek to Dharmasala (3230m)

This day you will hike all the way through the pine forest and you will see some wild animals and diverse kind of birds. It’s relatively simple hike and flat walk till you arrive at Dharmasala then you have to go up about 2 hours through the Juniper forest. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

 

Day 09: Trek to Kayang (3740m)

You will walk gradually about 4 hours walk through a bare hill with small vegetation. There you can find small vegetation due to the altitude. During the time of walking, you will see the blue ship along with some other animals. Such incredible views you can see from the uphill. Overnight stay in a tented camp.

 

Day 10: Trek to Phu Village (4050m)

On the 10th day, you will move to Phu Village (4050m) from Kayang. The altitude is progressively up but the trail is easy to trek. Phu Village is, in fact, a good and traditional village based on the Tibetan Buddhist. Overnight stay in a tented camp.

 

Day 11: Trek to Junam (3550m)

On the 11th day, you will trek to Junam (3550m) from Phu Village. Before you go for the trek you will have your breakfast in Phu Village so that you feel energetic and easily trek over 3550m. Overnight stay in a tented camp.

 

Day 12: Explore Nar Village (4150m)

On the 12th day, you will explore the Nar Village (4150m) from Junam. This is moderately vertical trail lasting about 4 hours. After that, you will reach Nar village which is quite a large village. There you can explore Tibetan Buddhism culture along with the village. Overnight stay at a tented camp.

 

Day 13: Trek to Ngwal (3675m)

You will wake up early in the morning and start to walk up to Kangla. When you will arrive at Kangla you will see such a hard to believe views of numerous mountains like Annapurna range, Manaslu range and much more. Then, you will hike down to Ngwal village. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

 

Day 14: Trek to Manang (3550m)

For the trek to Manang, there are two ways. Both routes can be followed. Following the trail, you will arrive at Jharsang Khola which should be crossed. There is a village of Gurung known as Khangsar where you can find a small monastery and prayer flags. Overnight stay at the guesthouse.

 

Day 15: Trek to Letdar (4250m)

On the 15th day, you will leave Manang. The track makes a climb of almost 2000m to the Thorong La Pass. You will climb progressively all the way through Tenki and leave the Marshyangdi Valley. Then, you will be continuing along the way of Jarsang Khola Valley, you get to Ledar at 4250m, there you will see the vegetation increasingly supplementary spare. Overnight stay at the guesthouse.

 

Day 16: Trek to Thorong High Camp (4800m)

Start to walk early in morning to avoid the windy at the top of Thorang La. This is the day that you will fulfill your dream as Thorang la is the destination of your entire trip. You can snap some pictures on the top and slowly start to go down to Muktinath. Today you will see such a different part and different landscape and will be surprised too. Overnight stay in a tented camp.

 

Day 17: Trek to Muktinath (3800m)

Muktinath is the holy place for both Hindus and Buddhist. You have to climb 1000 meter to reach Muktinath. First of all, you will wrap to walk all the way through Khingar (3400m) continuing Jharkot (3500m) which will be an inspiring stronghold for natives. If you are planning to carry on the first part of Muktinath, we will be staying that night at Ranipur. It has other advantages too. That will give us some time to visit Hindu places and to see the sights near the areas. Overnight stay in a guesthouse.

 

Day 18: Trek to Kagbeni (2895m)

Kagbeni is the most beautiful and adventures place for the trek. Almost immediately as you enter the first thing that you will see is the village of Khobang. From there you can make the trip towards Kanti Goma, a Buddhist temple. You can continue the trip towards Marpha as it is an important to place for Apple. On the way, you can see a wine brandy distillery which is the main source of the native living here. Still, you need to walk another 2 hours to be at Jomsom. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

 

Day 19: Trek to Jomsom (820m)

On the 19th day of the trek, you will move for the trek to Jomsom from Kagbeni. Jomsom is another destination for a trek that can change the perspective of your life. Trek to Jomsom will take almost 5 hours. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

 

Day 20: Fly back to Pokhara (820m)

On this day you will take a flight to Pokhara. You will explore different places of Pokhara as it is considered as one of the favorite places. You can visit different religious places and lake in Pokhara. You can engage in different sorts of adventures like paragliding, boating, sunrise view and much more. Overnight stay in a hotel.

 

Day 21: Drive Back to Kathmandu

From Pokhara, you will drive or take a flight to Kathmandu after having breakfast in the morning. As soon as you reach to Kathmandu you will move into the hotel and get fresh. In the evening you will go for a walk and return back to the hotel where you will take your dinner together with the other team members. Overnight stay in a hotel.

 

Day 22: Departure from Kathmandu, Farewell!

On the last day of the itinerary, you will be transferred to the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu from the hotel from where you will board a flight back to your home country.
