Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu: Once you arrive at the premises of International Airport at Kathmandu, you will be received by a staff member from ‘About Nepal Trek’ and then transferred to the hotel through the bustling streets of Kathmandu. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will be briefly explained about your itinerary package which will be followed by the welcome dinner.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu: A government registered guide will take you on a ride through several World Heritage Sites inside Kathmandu which include Pashupatinath Temple Complex, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath Stupa. The tour on the second day concludes with a visit to medieval Kathmandu Durbar Square premises which holds sites like Basantapur Museum and home of Living Goddess- Kumari.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara: It takes about 5 hours of the drive along the Prithvi Highway with views of paddy fields, river, and hills to arrive at the beautiful lake city of Pokhara. Arriving at Pokhara, we will stay in a hotel and prepare ourselves for the trekking to be done in upcoming days.
Day 04: Drive to Nayapul Trek to Tikhe Dhunga: About an hour long drive with views of looming mountain at the background will take us to Nayapul. The fun- filled trekking begins at Nayapul as we follow the route for about 20 minutes to reach to Birethanti. From Birethanti, we will cross the forest to Tikhe Dhunga.
Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani: Following the upward path through the stone steps, we will proceed to the large village of Ulleri. Ulleri is a Magar dominated Village. Ascending uphill through the pasture land, we will cross the small stream and reach to Nangethanti from where the trail stretches further to a village at Ghorepani from where we can have the picturesque views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Annapurna I and other peaks.
Day 06: Trek to Tatopani: We will leave the bed before sunrise and run hurriedly towards the summit of Poon hill. Enjoying the wonderful sunrise view and kaleidoscopic mountain views from the hill, we will return back to the hotel at Ghorepani for breakfast. Later, we will progress through Ghaja Khola to Tatopani, the natural hot geyser.
Day 07: Trek to Ghasa: Trekking on 7th day starts by following the route that exists above the world’s deepest gorge of Kali Gandaki Valley. Moving along the bank of Kali Gandaki River, we will cross the suspension bridge over Bhalu River and reach to Dana. A narrow route from Dana will take us to the Thakali Village of Ghasa.
Day 08: Trek to Larjung: Leaving Ghasa early in the morning, we will pass through few Thakali Villages afterward which the trail progresses by the way of the gorges and rivers to the pretty small villages of Lete, Kalopani and Kokhethanti. We will be enjoying the spectacular view of Dhaulagiri Peak before advancing to Larjung.
Day 09: Trek to Marpha: Walk through scenic routes for about 6-7 hours duration will lead us to Marpha. Arriving at the Khobang Village, we will visit Kanti Gompa and move on through Tukuche Village which is also the Thakali Village. Lowering down from Tukuche Village, we will arrive at Marpha which is popular for its apple orchard.
Day 10: Trek to Kagbeni: Passing through the Shyang Village, we will arrive at Shyang River which further leads us to Jomsom. Jomsom is the administrative headquarter of Mustang district. Continuing our path through Jomsom, we will cross Ekle Bhatti which leads us to Kagbeni located at 2840 m altitude where we will be staying overnight.
Day 11: Trek to Muktinath: Ascending the steep trail, we will pass through the multi-ethnic villages of Khingar and Jharkot to arrive at the holy pilgrimage site of Muktinath. Muktinath is a center of faith of both Hindu and Buddhist devotees. Taking a bath at Muktinath is believed to liberate devotees from sins committed in the lifetime.
Day 12: Trek to Jomsom: The trek on 12th day begins by lowering down to the world’s deepest Kali Gandaki Gorge. Advancing further, we will move along the bank of Kali Gandaki Valley floor. En route, we will be enjoying the picturesque views of Nilgiri Mountain. Later, we will arrive at Jomsom where we will be staying overnight in a hotel.
Day 13: Fly to Pokhara: It takes about 40 minutes of flight over mountains to shift us to Pokhara. There will be plenty of time to explore the beautiful Lake city of Pokhara. We will be returning back to Kathmandu only in the next day.
Day 14: Drive back to Kathmandu: It takes 5 hours of picturesque drive through Prithvi Highway to return back to Kathmandu where we will be staying in a hotel.
Day 15: Departure: The amazing 15 days ‘Jomsom Muktinath Trekking’ meets its end on this day as you will be driven back to Tribhuvan International airport by our representative. We are happy to serve you.
