Manaslu Circuit Trek is now known as great tea house trekking. 12 Days Manaslu Circuit is one of the classic treks in Nepal in Manaslu, the world’s eighth highest mountain followed by crossing Larke La pass. 12 Days Manaslu trek begins from Kathmandu. ‘Larke La Pass’ is believed to be one of the most dramatic passes crossing the Himalayas. Since 1991, Manaslu has been restricted to organized groups, offering a glimpse into unspoiled nature that has been compromised in other parts of Nepal.

Our trek to Manaslu circuit passes through a geographically huge and ethnically captivating area with scenery likely to the classic Annapurna Circuit. Our actual trek starts from the town of Arughat passing through bamboo forests and Magar, Tamang and Gurung villages in the narrow Budhi Gandaki gorge. 12 Days Manaslu Trek offers the view of a splendor forest of pine, Gompas, rhododendron forest and a great Mountain View. After visiting Lho village, we enter the Nupri region mostly inhabited by Tibetan settlers where you will see colorful prayer flags, Mani walls, and monasteries along the way. Upon crossing Samdo village, we start our walk towards the Larke La pass, crossing the high Himalayan pass which is a challenging day though it would be a good objective for a fit hill walker with no previous mountaineering experience. You can see the superb view of Himal Chuli, Manaslu, Cheo Himal, and Himlung Himal mountains from Larkya. This isolated mountain and conservation area is home to endangered snow leopards as well.

Manaslu Circuit Trek 12 Days Itinerary

Day 01: Drive to Soti Khola (530m) 6-7 hrs

Day 02: Trek to Machha Khola (890m) 5-6 hrs

Day 03: Trek to Jagat (1,350m) 5-6 hrs

Day 04: Trek to Deng (1,800m) 5 hrs

Day 05: Trek to Namrung (2900 M) 8 hrs

Day 06: Trek to Samagaon (3,520 m) 6 hrs

Day 07: Trek to Samdo (3,875m) 3hrs

Day 08: Trek to Larke Bazaar/Dharmasala (44600m) 4hrs

Day 09: Dharamsala to Larke la pass(5160 m)to Bhimthang (3,660m) 9hrs

Day 10: Trek to Tilije (2,300m) 5hrs

Day 11: Trek to Chemcha (1,430m) 7hrs

Day 12: Drive to Besisahar (760m) and Kathmandu (1,300m),

Itinerary Detail
  • Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu

    Once you arrive at the premises of International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be received by a staff member from ‘Keen Adventures Treks then transferred to the hotel through the bustling streets of Kathmandu. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will be briefly explained about your itinerary package which will be followed by the welcome dinner.

  • Exploration Day in Kathmandu & trekking preparation:

    A government registered guide will take you on a ride through several World Heritage Sites inside Kathmandu which include Pashupatinath Temple Complex, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath Stupa. The tour on the second day concludes with a visit to medieval Kathmandu Durbar Square premises which holds sites like Basantapur Museum and home of Living Goddess- Kumari.  & your trekking staff will brief you all about your trip.

  • Drive to Soti Khola (530m):

    Away from the Kathmandu, you will set Long to drive to Soti Khola with an altitude of 530 m, after crossing the thin trail through the rustic village, along with terraced fields of Budhi Gandaki. The trail will go off at the back of Budi Gandaki, passing complicated land, the plentiful waterway at the core of the village. Stay overnight at guesthouse.

  • Trek to Machha Khola (890m): 7 hours

    On the following day, you will move to Machha Khola (890m), after spending a night in Soti Khola. You will stumble upon numerous stars and descend. Then, you will again go up towards paddies very soon going on to the attractive Gurung village. Moving to the direction from the valley the trail will take you to downward, onto the banks of the river to the village of Machhakhola where you will get to view the Ganesh Himal. Stay overnight stay at a tea house.

  • Trek to Jagat (1,350m): 7 hrs 30 Minutes

    On the following day, you will move into the forest of a miniature section, you will turn up at the demanding tea house placed at Doban. It is a benefit to experience the rapids at Budhi Gandaki. You will cross the suspension bridge over the river at Lauri and then get prepared to put off upon a renowned trail to the lowland of Jagat (1,350m). Stay overnight in a tea house.

  • Trek to Deng (1,800m) 7 hrs:

    Crossing the summit of a spectacular gorge and incoming the mostly not in use area of pine trees proceeding to drop to a trail associating at New Bridge, you will subsequent the trail towards the left Ghap, the Budhi Gandaki and after that in going into its thin gorge on the variable trail crossing the river. After a suspension bridge, the trail comes in a bamboo forest and soar up to the village of Deng (1,800m), taking 5 hours. Stay overnight at guesthouse.

  • Trek to Gho (2,490 m) 6 hrs:

    Leaving Deng you will move to Gho with an altitude of 2,490 meters. From Deng you will be taking go up and the trek will take almost 4 hours. This is one of the long-lasting treks but the more you walk the more you will be able to trace the natural beauties. Stay overnight in a guesthouse.

  • Trek to Lho gaon (3,180m) 4 hrs: 

    Ascending steadily from the earlier trek today you will start to Lho Gaon. Lho gaon is positioned at an altitude of 3,180 meters taking only 4 hours. As this is the small trek you do not have to walk prolonged and will have time for snapping some photographs as well. Stay overnight in a house.

  • Trek to Samagaon (3,360m) 4 hrs:

    On the following day passing the bridge above the Numla Khola which exhausts the Pungyen Glacier from the Manaslu, it demonstrates the way to Pungyen gompa. The central element of Samagaon is formed all through the two rows of houses fascinating 4 hours. Samagaon is to be found at an elevation of 3,360 meters. Stay overnight at the tea house.

  • Acclimatization day: 

    We spent this day fully exploring the main place of Samagaon for best views of Manaslu, Ganesh Himal & Dhaulagiri mountains range, also we will spend our time with their local people. hiking around the hill and visit the monastery.

  • Trek to Samdu (3,780m) 3 hrs: 

    This is the day allocated for Samdo (3,780 m). So, after breakfast, you will head towards it. Samdo is the collection of people whose lodging is to be found at the back of the boundary. In the afternoon, you will amble for the perspective on the Pana Danda. You can even move to Samdo Peak, to be found in the Northeast, presenting gracious peak of Manaslu. Stay overnight at a tea house.

  • Trek to Larkya Bazaar/Dharmasala (4,390m) 4 hrs:

    Day 12:  From Samdo you will go in the following way as Larkye Bazaar is huge and demands zig-zag rise. You will build an early on set up passing the famous pass of the trek. Closing the saunter you will get there in the moraines finished by the glaciers. From Larkye Bazaar you can be seen the lofty mountains like Cheo Himal, Annapurna II, and Himlung. Stay overnight at a tea house.

  • Dharamsala to Larkya la pass to  Bhimthang (3,660m) 9 hrs: 

    Bimthang with an altitude of 3,660 meters is a village which can be used for taking rest. Beneath the Larkya Bazaar, you will trek to Bimthang which is, in fact, a widespread value all the way through plentiful numbers of stone walls and unfilled houses. Trek to Bimthang is not as simple trek if we consider 9 hours of broad trek. Stay overnight at a tea house.

  • Trek to Tilije (2,300m) 5hrs: 

    On the following day, you will shift to Trek Tilije(2300m) with 5 hours of delightful trek. Trekking to Tilije will make you contented as in contrast to previous day the trek has compact for 3 hours. Tilije is situated at an elevation of 2,300 meters and will tell again you that you are almost to the end of the trek. Stay overnight at a tea house.

  • Trek to Chemcha (1,430m) 7hrs: 

    On the next day, you will carry on the trek to Chemcha, leave-taking from Tilije. Tilije is an attractive position for the trekkers who want to be close to nature. The real height of Tilije is 2,300 meter and to complete the trek it consumes 7 hours of extensive trek. But you will be offered some time to take rest in between. Stay overnight at a tea house.

  • Drive to Besisahar (760 m) and Kathmandu (1,300 m):

     Spending a night in Chemcha you will take a drive to Besisahar right after taking breakfast. Besisahar is positioned at an elevation of 760 meters. First of all, you need to take a public jeep and after that tourist bus to revisit Kathmandu. Arriving at Kathmandu will conclude the trek and thus, you will revisit your hometown or towards next destination.

  • Departure/Farewell:

    The 17th day will conclude our adrenaline ‘Manaslu circuit trek’. Our staff will assist in your last moment preparation and then convey you back to Tribhuvan International Airport from where you will take a light to your desired next destination. We are happy to serve you.
