Day 01: Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu
As soon as you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu you will be transferred to the hotel by our representatives. You will then be briefed about the travel itinerary. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Kathmandu valley includes several Hindu temples including of Pashupatinath, listed by UNESCO in World Heritage Sites and the largest Buddhist Stupa in Bouddha. You can also visit the Monkey Temple also called ad Swyambhunath, built some 2000 years old and visit Patan, the city of fine arts. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03: Flight to Lukla, Trek to Phakding
On the 3rd day, you will take a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla which takes around 35 minutes. From Lukla, you will be heading towards Phakding (2652 m). Taking 35 minutes of flight to Lukla, your trip begins after climbing up to the slope on the left bank of Dudh Koshi River. One the way you can view the magnificent beauty of Kusum Kangaru, Mt Kwondge and you pass a few tea houses and Mani walls. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar
On the 4th day of the itinerary, you will move from Phakding to Namche (3,440m). After a slight rise from Jhorsalle, the trail passes through a waterfall. Throughout the day, you will pass through the villages interspersed with magnificent forests of Rhododendron, giant fir trees and magnolia. And on the way to walk you will be rewarded (weather permitting) your first glimpse of Kusum Kanggru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m) Everest (8,848 m) and Nuptse (7879 m) then a steep climb to the beautiful village of Namche Bazaar (3440m). Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
Day 05: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar:
This day is taken as the rest day where we will lie down and take rest and thus prepare ourselves up for further trekking. Later we can visit the hotels, shops, restaurants and markets around Namche Bazaar which is the hub of Khumbu Region. We will stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.
Day 06: Trek to Thame:
We will head east from Namche Bazaar and pass through monastery before ascending uphill. The trail then lowers down the hill for about an hour through a forest of rhododendron and a bit to a ridge from where we will pass the village of Phorte and Shamde and cross the bridge over Bhotekoshi River to reach Thame at 3800m altitude.
Day 07: Trek to Marulung:
The trail follows the arid path with little vegetation which continues through the Village of Tangmote and then continues on through the Village of Yellajung. After a brief rest at Yellajung, we will visit Tarngga Village and have an amazing view of Kongde Ri. Marlung is located about 45minutes of walk far from Marulung where we will stay overnight.
Day 08: Trek to Lungden:
The first half of the trail stretches through the plain land which later extends through the hill before passing the water stream. Lungden is located at 4380m altitude which is 2 to 3 hours far from the stream. The whole trekking for the day takes 4 to 5 hours.
Day 09: Cross Renjo La Pass and Trek to Gokyo:
On the 9th day, we will begin our trekking by ascending uphill to reach Renjo Pass which is located at 5360m altitude. We will have the spectacular views of Everest, Lhotse, Cholatse and Taboche and then lower downhill to pass through the Ngozumpa Glacier which will eventually turn up at Gokyo Village which positions itself at 4800m altitude.
Day 10: Trek to Gokyo Ri:
In Gokyo lie the famous six lakes. We will visit Thonak Tsho and Ngozuma Lakes and clamber to the hilltop to have a view at Cho-Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Makalu Mountains. After visiting Gokyo Ri, we will head back to our camp at Gokyo where we will stay in camp for the night.
Day 11: Trek to Thaknak:
Thaknak which is also known by the name of Dragnag will be our destination for the day. We will begin the trek by leaving Gokyo and following the trail through ridge and Ngozumpa Glacier to a mountain from where we will travel down to arrive at Thaknak. The wonderful views of Cho Oyu, Gokyo Ri and other mountains make this trip worth taking.
Day 12: Cross Cho La pass and Trek to Dzongla:
We will begin the day by taking the strenuous trek through a slippery path and glaciers all the way to Cho La Pass. The trail proceeds through the edge of the frozen lake to the hill top which is decorated with prayer flags. We will pass through crevasses to reach Dzongla which offers amazing views of Cholatse, Lobuche and Amadablam Mountains and Pheriche Village.
Day 13: Trek to Lobuche:
Early in the morning of the 13th day, we will lower down the hill and cross the bridge before passing through meadows to arrive at a ridge which gives the wonderful views of Everest, Pumori, Khumbutse, Nuptse, Mahalangur and other mountains. Later we will pursue the gravel road along the edge of the river to hit Lobuche which is located at 4940m altitude.
Day 14: Trek to Gorak Shep:
We will begin our trek by continuing the trail through moraines of Khumbu Glacier. We will allocate some time to admire the mountain views which the land offers before lowering down to Thangma Riju. Later we will make our way through Changri Glacier which offers the first view of Kala Patthar. We will visit Gorak Shep Lake before pitching our camp at Gorak Shep.
Day15: Trek to Lobuche & Hike to Kala Patthar:
The trek continues through Indian Army Mountaineers’ Memorials to Everest Base Camp which later takes us to Kala Patthar after following the steep trail up the mountain which is a popular site for sunset viewing among trekkers. Kalapatthar is a gifted site blessed with several mountain panoramas. Later we will descend and follow the trail through Gorak Shep to Lobuche.
Day 16: Cross Kongma La Pass and Trek to Chhukung:
After breakfast, we will continue the trail through Khumbu Glacier and ascend uphill to Kongma La which is a High Pass located at 5535m altitude which allows the beautiful views of Cholatse, Pokalde, Nuptse, Lhotse, Makalu and Ama Dablam. Later we will lower down through the rocky and continue walking along Niyang Khola Valley to Chhukung.
Day 17: Trek to Tengboche:
From Chhukung, we will head to Pangboche Village. En-route, we will pay a visit to the monastery which is believed to be the oldest in Khumbu Region. Later we will lower down through a rocky path and pass through a pine forest before ascending the steep hill up towards Tengboche which is located at a 3860m altitude where we will stay overnight.
Day18: Trek to Namche Bazaar:
The trail lowers down steeply and then passes along Dudh Koshi River. We will pass through forest and Chorten to arrive at an Army Camp from where we will climb the steep hill to make it to Namche Bazaar where we will stay overnight.
Day 19: Trek to Lukla:
The trail lowers down the steep hill and continues on through a bridge over Dudh Koshi River before passing through few Sherpa Villages and rhododendron and pine forest to Lukla which is located at 2840m altitude.
Day 20: Flight to Kathmandu:
Early in the morning, we will take a flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla Airport which is 35 minutes long wonderful journey over mountains. We will head towards our hotel in Kathmandu where we will take a well-deserved rest from the long and strenuous trek.
Day 21: Departure from Kathmandu, Farewell!
We will assist in your last moment preparation and take you to Tribhuvan International Airport which will take you to your next destination. We wish you a safe journey and expect to serve you again!!
