Kathmandu valley Rim Trekking is a 6-day tour package designed exclusively to provide some amazing experience of trek and sightseeing around the outskirts of Kathmandu Valley. Kathmandu valley Rim Trekking is a short trek nearby the Capital city. Kathmandu valley Rim Trekking provides you with an opportunity to experience rural Nepal without getting too far from the capital thus making it ideal for the ones who are here for a short vacation. Kathmandu Rim Trek will take you through enchanting landscapes and mountain views while you can get to know about the lifestyle of local people as you pass through the villages.

Kathmandu valley Rim Trekking also call Short Chisapani Nagarkot trek starts from Sundarijal, a small town located about an hour’s drive from Kathmandu. Over the next six days during the trek, you will hike along the local villages of Chisapani, observe the uncluttered views of mountains around the Valley, interact with the locals and learn about their culture and traditions. It is almost the right destination for a short yet fascinating trek.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Itinerary Detail

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
After your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be taken to your hotel where you will get a briefing about your travel itinerary. You will spend the night resting in the hotel.

Day 02: Drive to Sundarijal (1350m) and trek to Chisapani (2140m)
Sundarijal lies about an hour’s drive far from Kathmandu and serves as the initial point for trekking. The trail escalates up through Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve and continues to heighten up the hill through the woods and passes through Mulkharka- a Tamang Village. The route continues to rise upward in the forest of Rhododendron and Oaks till one passes the track of Bhanjyang Borlang. The course then goes downhill to Chisapani (2140m) from where one can enjoy the panoramic views of the Annapurna and Everest mountains. We will be staying overnight in the lodge.

Day 03: Trek to Nagarkot (2195m)
After breakfast on the third day, we will continue following the trail downhill until we arrive at Nagarkot. One can enjoy the view of mountains, forests and local villages on the way. Nagarkot is a hill station popular as a place from where one can get an extensive view of Kathmandu Valley, Mt. Everest, Manaslu, Gauri Shankar and other mountains of Eastern Nepal. Nagarkot is quite popular among the Kathmandu citizens for night stay. We will be resting overnight in a hotel.

Day 04: Drive to Dhulikhel
Sunrise viewing is the thing that can’t be missed while in Nagarkot. So, we will enjoy the sunrise view from the hotel where we are staying. After having breakfast, we will leave Nagarkot towards our next destination- Dhulikhel where we will stay overnight in a hotel. Dhulikhel is a beautiful town in Kavre district, also popular for sunrise/sunset viewing and night stay.

Day 05: Trek around Dhulikhel and return to Kathmandu
We start the 5th day by having breakfast and then we will drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square from Dhulikhel. Palace of 55 windows; Golden Gate, the Temple Nyatapole and Pottery Square are some of the sites you won’t want to miss. We will head next to the city of Patan (city of fine arts).The city which is believed to have been established during the reign of Vira Deva is full of monuments, Buddhist and Hindu temples with fine bronze doors, idols of different deities and wonderful carvings. Finally, we will be arriving in Kathmandu where we will be staying overnight in a hotel.

Day 06: Departure from Kathmandu, Farewell! 
On the last day of the tour package, you will board a flight to your home country via the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. We wish you a safe journey and we hope to see you again!
